MATOCOVID, a subsidiary of BonAir, focuses on educating young minds and non-business entities about the benefits of BonAir and the CIMR Technology that powers BonAir h2o2 gas generators. The name is the combination of the Spanish word kill and COVID, with the combination resulting in "to kill covid", one of the key claims of BonAir.
For the MATOCOVID brand identity, we focused on creating a design that incorporates the cancellation of the COVID era, by canceling the virus itself. The color was chosen to give the darker tone of the situation a more lively feel in order to appeal to a younger audience and non-business entities, such as schools, parents, among others.
Apart from the aforementioned elements, we decided to include two more. The design that resembles the SARS-CoV-2 (Coronavirus) was based on the Mandelbrot Set, a mathematical fractal that replicates endlessly, reinforcing the importance of putting a stop to this spread. Lastly, in order to give the design a more organic feel, the sharp edges that would otherwise be present in the "cancel" sign/element were smoothed and placed slightly asymmetrical manner.
